Windows 11 version leaked
The upcoming Microsoft Windows 11 operating system leaked online today. After the screenshots were first posted on the Chinese site Baidu, the entire Windows 11 operating system has come online, with a new user interface, Start menu and more. Windows 11’s new UI and Start menu look similar to what was originally found in Windows 10X. Microsoft simplified Windows for dual-screen devices before canceling that project in favor of Windows 11. Visually, the biggest changes you’ll see are in the taskbar. Microsoft has focused on application icons here, cleaned up the taskbar area and added a new menu and a *managed* menu.
This updated Start menu is a simplified version of what is currently in Windows 10, with no live tiles. It includes pinned apps, recently used files, and the ability to quickly shut down or restart your Windows 11 device. It’s actually much simpler than it is today in Windows 10. Microsoft also uses rounded corners in Windows 11. They appear in context menus , around apps, and in File Explorer. The Start menu itself also features rounded corners. This is still an early leaked version of Windows 11, so not everything is included yet.
You may have noticed a new icon in the Windows 11 taskbar, with widgets highlighted in the operating system. Rumors suggest that Microsoft is bringing back Windows widgets, and this early release seems to include some. Since this is a very early version of Windows 11, widgets are not fully loaded into the operating system, but are designed to swipe and provide quick access to news, weather, and other web content.
Although Microsoft has canceled its Windows 10X operating system, it is clear that the company is repurposing much of it to run on Windows 11. Windows 10X was originally intended for dual-screen devices before transitioning to traditional laptops and then being cancelled. Windows 10X included some enhanced and simplified features in Windows, and much of that work is in this Windows 11 leaked build. Windows 11 also includes new photo controls that can be accessed from *managed* in all apps. They are a modern equivalent of sliding windows that have been around for years. You can quickly collapse windows or organize them into sections on your desktop.
Unfortunately, there still doesn’t seem to be any major updates in the Windows Store. Since this is an early version that has been leaked, it’s possible that the updates that Microsoft is planning haven’t arrived yet. The Windows Store interface is largely the same as it is in Windows 10 today, with access to all the apps currently available.
Microsoft has reportedly been working on a new Windows app store in recent months, and rumors suggest it will be a big change from what exists today. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has promised to open up more economic opportunities for Windows developers and developers, and that could come in the form of a new store. Microsoft is reportedly changing its storewith Windows apps to allow developers to push apps to any Windows app, including browsers like Chrome or Firefox. Microsoft may also consider allowing third-party commercial platforms into the app, allowing app developers to avoid Microsoft’s ban on in-app purchase systems.
Elsewhere, Microsoft has also introduced a new settings experience in Windows 11. This is great for Windows 10X users, mobile users of new hardware, or those who are upgrading to Windows 11 using a set of Windows Setup Steps. This unique experience also includes the new Windows 11 startup sound that starts every time you boot. Microsoft is also improving the Xbox experience on Windows 11. The new Xbox app is now integrated with Windows 11, giving you quick access to Xbox Game Pass games, Xbox Network community areas, and Xbox Store. Xbox Game Bar and Windows Game Mode remain the same as Windows 10 in this leaked early version.
Microsoft has hinted that it is ready to launch Windows 11. The software giant is holding a special Windows event to reveal its upcoming operating system on June 24. The event will kick off at 11 p.m. ET, and the event invite features a window that casts a shadow and an outline that resembles the number 11. Microsoft executives have also been teasing previews of the next generation of Windows for several months now, and now a leak confirms that Windows. 11 will be officially revealed later this month.
