Important Note: Microsoft Office 2013 is no longer the Download button, this program will redirect you to the latest version of Office. You can also find the Premium version and create your best work with Office 365.
Known uses, new features
With the new touch reading mode in Word 2013, you can scroll through documents by swiping your finger. Document editing has been overhauled and expanded to make document editing easier. Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus also allows you to edit PDF files without the need for additional software, making it a direct competitor to Adobe Acrobat.
In Excel 2013, the new Flash Fill function automatically fills a range of selected cells. Excel analyzes the entire table, determines the relationships between cells, and suggests a value or text. Excel also makes it easy to create pivot tables and pivot charts by creating tooltips in a similar way. The new Quick Scan feature in Microsoft Office 2013 allows you to view certain formatting options in the spreadsheet itself.
PowerPoint 2013 splits the presenter view into two different audience and presenter views. In addition to the presentation itself, you can also display a bulleted list and other information on the presenter’s screen. On tablets, you can switch between images with finger gestures, draw with a stylus during a movie lecture, or use a virtual laser pointer.
Outlook 2013 combines slide-out menus for events, contacts, and tasks in all views. Email in Outlook 2013 is now optimized for tablets and can optionally be displayed in an optimized list view with large areas.
Windows 8 touch and minimal design
You will notice some changes when using Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus. The famous strip expands only when needed and is effective for finger control on touch screens. Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus allows you to embed videos using HTML code in addition to images. All apps come with new touchscreen modes.
Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus uses the same minimalist tile design as Windows 8, and everything seems to fit together nicely. Large, well-arranged icons focus on the most important features, while new templates provide visually appealing tables and presentations.
Conclusion: an advanced comprehensive office suite
Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus has many useful features that allow you to selectively use it on touch screen devices. Unfortunately, Office Suite is not suitable for tablets at all. Many selections and options are too small for inexperienced hands.
However, the other features of Microsoft Office 2013 Professional Plus are much more compelling: the PDF editor offers significantly improved collaborative editing, cloud integration with Skydrive, and other features such as YouTube video embedding, which is a great upgrade. If you’re looking for a more affordable MS Office compatible option, you can always try WPS Office.
