Symbols represent related elements or groups of elements. Changes to a symbol element will globally update all instances of that symbol. Content such as text, images and even structural components such as navigation menus only need to be updated once.

Why are so many responsive websites so similar? Refactoring predefined layouts and breakpoints in mobile workflows can be a hassle when coding by hand. Foundation Framer includes all the controls to create unique visual designs from XS to XXXL screens! Not having to worry about code allows for more experimentation and encourages creativity. A sleek interface and intuitive styling controls ensure a unique design that’s out of this world.
A case of flexibility and design with real content.
When we mapped out how our responsive app would work, we focused on the core of device-agnostic design: custom breakpoints with a fully responsive layout. After all, fantasy can only be built on a solid foundation. Curious why? Let’s look at a real design case.
By default Foundation 6 comes with 2 breakpoints.
This is the blue dot in the image below. Now look at the layout. The two-column design looks great at the current width, but on smaller screens one column might be preferable. However, using standard breakpoints, it must be one or the other; one column or two columns for each screen smaller than 640px.
add one-click distractions.
The ability to easily add custom breakpoints to adjust the layout while working with actual content leads to moreflexibility and better design decisions. In this case, a custom breakpoint is added (a white dot) that changes the layout from a one-column to a two-column structure at 450px. Different spacing often causes changes in font size; this and other design changes can also be applied to breakpoints.
Painless design for larger devices.
A similar case can be made when designing for (very) large screens. How about pulling two columns and creating a six-column row? With Foundation Framer, these are decisions designers can make with limited effort. Ultimately, this will create a better user experience across all devices. Breakpoint whenever and wherever you need it. As the example shows, setting breakpoints without layout and content is pointless. Design or layout changes should be based on actual content for a great user experience. Breakpoint management is critical to creating a truly device agnostic design.

Use the full power of CSS layout by simply selecting an option, pressing a button and specifying dimensions. It’s not just imagination, it’s going to be genius!
Use P for image and performance
Prevent mobile viewers from downloading image files that are heavy and slow to load. Using the Picture element, you can provide a more comfortable size for each viewer.
Key Placement Controls
Place the content wherever you want. Choose your view, absolute position, set it to clear or float, or make your life easier using Flexbox’s amazing visual controls.
Various background options
Don’t limit yourself to one background. Layer multiple backgrounds for added dimension for a truly immersive look.
Color palette management
Use the precision selection tool to pick up color from anywhere on the screen. Keep them organized and reuse them by saving them to your palette.

Clickable controls make it easy to customize and style your message. It also comes loaded with custom Google fonts. With the built-in editor, you can customize special text with your own look and feel.
Easy layout management
Click on the Layout panel to organize your layout. Add, delete and combine rows and columns to store content. Adjust span width, offset and drag settings!
Manual tuning is also an option!
Foundation Framer is a visual app, but any coder who wants to dive into the back end has that option too. Export to any code editor to edit clear and clean markup. Sweet: linked in a custom stylesheet, won’t be overwritten on re-export!
Release notes:
– Like any other MacOS program, you can now use the Backspace key as another way to delete items!
– Projects containing style address elements will get stuck on the loading screen. After some adjustments, all projects should load normally.
