Dolby Atmos is a popular surround sound format, a competitor to DTS: X, and can be found in everything from larger commercial theaters to smaller home theaters. The “dive” format is also being used as a new way to listen to music from people like The Beatles to Ariana Grande on cell phones and speakers. Although the biggest change from previous formats is the addition of treble channels, Atmos audio tracks will work with a traditional system with five speakers and a subwoofer () or with as many (or more) speakers as yours.
